Collaborate online in real time with Lessonspace!
Lessonspace is an online video and collaborative whiteboard platform designed to delight and engage your students. The whiteboard includes a variety of subject-specific tools, so whether you’re tutoring math, coding, reading, or any other subject, you’ll have the tools you need!

Get started with Lessonspace & TutorBird
First, create a Lessonspace account here. Then, you’ll need to locate your API key.
In Lessonspace:
- Click “Settings” in the menu on the left
- Go to the “Developer” tab
- Click “Copy” to copy your API Key
In TutorBird:
- Go to the “Calendar” menu
- Click “Options” and select “Categories & Locations” from the drop-down menu
- Select the “Locations” tab
- Click “+ Add Location”
- Name your location and select “Lessonspace” as the Location Type.
- Paste the API Key into the “Specify API Key” field and click “Save”
In Lessonspace, the sessions are organized in Spaces:
- If the student is taking 1:1 lessons, you’ll want to schedule them in a location set to organize by “Tutor-Student Attendee Pairs“
- For scheduling group lessons that have varying attendees, organize by “Recurring Event Series“. When scheduling private or group lessons, select this new location for the event you’re creating and you’ll be all set!
At the time of the lesson, you can begin by clicking the location in TutorBird from the Calendar event or from the Home menu.
