A few months ago we switched all the websites that use “tutorbird.com” subdomains to secure hosting over HTTPS. Those of you using custom domain names were unfortunately left behind… but not anymore! Today we’re excited to announce that we’re beta testing HTTPS for custom domains. If you’d like to help us test this new capability out, please reach out to support@tutorbird.com and we’ll provide additional information. We hope to have this deployed for everyone over the next several weeks.
Other updates:
- Last week we introduced some localization changes to improve the look and feel of the main TutorBird calendar for people who live in non-English speaking countries. Today we’re rolling out some improvements to those changes, as well as introducing localization for all the date pickers located throughout the site. This should unify the appearance of the calendar throughout the site. (If you’re located in an English speaking country, you shouldn’t see any changes related to this.)
- We corrected a minor issue with the sign-up widget that was incorrectly marking adult students as children, regardless of what was selected when the student registered.
- If you’re subscribed to TutorBird using a non-dollar currency, you should now see the correct currency symbol displayed in your billing history.
This continues to be embarrassing…
- Last week when we fixed the spelling of “Lavender”, we thought we spelled it wrong in 3 places, but we actually spelled it wrong in 5 places! This prevented “Lavender” colored events from showing the correct shade on the calendar. This is now fixed (if you don’t see it, try refreshing your browser once or twice.)
